I don't get /dem/ as a concept. There's pretty much nothing you can do with the board to make it alive. At the very least, it makes a random 'teen feel like they have actual power for a few weeks, but after that it's over. I wasn't using the sharty when it was added, so I don't know if this was something they added just because or if people actually wanted it, but either way it's a DNB

I discussed /dem/ with the party staff earlier and they got inspired to do it from a video on youtube, as well as our janny elections. Although to be frank there is not very much interest in democracy these days.

/dem/ feels very horribly run and just feels like a second /soy/ with no good qualities that no one will visit.
The best part about it that has the most hype surrounding it and brings the most activity to the board are the elections, afterwards the board just fucking dies.
This might be a shitty idea idk but I think it could be le better if there was NO president so that anyone could vote for any idea (obviously not breaking rules of the site) because then people would be incentivised to fight/vote for something they want on the board in the same way that they're incentivised to run for president to change the board in a way they want, another pro would be that the board would be constantly changing and evolving so it wouldn't be stagnant.

The board is a dnb but is intresting neverdoeless, having users vote for their own admins is fun and if it wasn’t namecaca hell and people started posting on it more it could be funny and gemmy

The website hasn't been good since Cloot an hero'd on the "Sharty Special" livestream that "they" do on occasion, and nobody remembers this because the stream initially only got 16 views and wasn't archived, and not because I just made it up on the spot.
